Chainmaille Bracelet

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Costume

For: Women

Style: Funky, Rock / Punk, Goth, Casual

Materials

18ga 3/16 ID and 20ga 1/8 ID in Non Tarnish Silver Enameled Copper and Black AA (Anodized Aluminium) rings. Sterling Silver tube clasp.

What was your inspiration?

This weave, I have been a huge fan of since I started doing chainmail and this has been since 2002 and adding beads into my work. This bracelet doesn't need beads.

What are you most proud of?

How this design turned out as it was my own idea and how it sits nicely on my wrist.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Is to start off with jump rings that are closer to the ring sizes I mentioned. Keep practising on making your ring closures are very good.

I love this, but gee it must take a long time and lots of rings.

Thank you for your kind comments. Well regarding this design, using the two colours, it's hard to give instructions out because I did it out of my own head. However, the weave is not a problem for instructions. So here you go. :) http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay.php?key=343

I quilt, I do polymer clay, I string, I wire wire wrap (not professionally on any level, just love crafting), and am looking into chain maille. I love this piece. Fabulous job!! Beautiful. Step-by-step would be wonderful.
