This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Magical Jelly Roll Quilts »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Girls

Style: Cute, Casual

Materials

100% cotton yardage and batting

What was your inspiration?

Craftsy Course

What are you most proud of?

I wanted an unusual back so I made two quilt tops. The current pictures are an incomplete quilt as there is no quilting and binding as yet. The hand quilting will be done by my mother. Completed quilts now shown.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be careful when you cut the strips. I made a mistake in mine.

I've made a couple of weird backs due to lack of fabric or trying to use up some stash. They always go over well with the recipients because they are unexpected. It's usually not a lot of extra work, for the benefit.

How right you are and now I have used nearly all of this pink fabric.

Love your work. I don't think of making a pattern on the back, I especially like it.
