I have been making chainmail for about 10 years now. I have never cease to be amazed at what people will do and the beautiful patterns they make. Your piece is lovely. If you want to learn the art, chainmail artisans is an excellent resource too.

Fabulous!!! The Byzantine link is my all-time favorite link. It's so beautiful. You did a lovely job! I think this will be my first new project for the new year, though I doubt that I will solder every single link... that's a bit ambitious! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Do you experiment much with the weave. It is amazingly flexible.

Nice work...can't believe you soldered all the links! I think if I tried doing that I'd end up with a single earring instead of a bracelet as I'd give up very quickly! lol

There are tutorials several places on the internet if you do a search for byzantine chain. I also have a tutorial in my Etsy store. :)

Finding a local SCA group might be helpful too.

Love that people are amazed when I say I made it myself. Be amazed. I soldered all the links. Never again!

Kristen, I once met a guy who soldered all the rings in a SUIT. Took him two years. I can understand.

The weightiness and intricacy of this bracelet give it strong character and appeal.
