What materials did you use? Assorted fat quarters, sewing notions, rotary cutter, ruler(s) Craftsy class materials and instructions. I didn't have the templates mentioned but I used the plastic template material for my patterns.

What are you most proud of? It was OVER 12 1/2" when finished so I could square it up.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? sew the pieces with a scant 1/4" on ALL seams.

when making the blocks what do you mean an extra 1/4 inch.

A scant 1/4" inch means just a bit smaller than a full 1/4". This is so the overall block will be a tad larger then you have plenty to trim off to make it exactly square. Hope that helps. Thanks for visiting.

it looks like a challenge so I haven't found time to work on yet. Did you buy the templet or did you make it?

I bought the plastic template sheet and traced the designs onto it and cut them out. I didn't use the rotary cutter to go around them because it is so thin. I laid the plastic down on my fabric and traced the shape, then carefully cut them out. That was the only way I could make sure of accuracy. Wasn't so bad. Putting the 'puzzle' together was the fun part.

that is the fun part !!! Thanks for your nice comment !! I was slow about doing mine this month. I usually jump right on them and have them done the 1st day.

Great job Cindy!

thank you !!! Finally quit talking myself out of doing them and got down to business. They weren't as bad as I thought they would be.

Very nice! Curves are tricky.

My first quilt ever was a Grandmother's Fan quilt. I didn't know you weren't supposed to do curves for your first one, LOL. A friend told me... after she had taught me the basics of making a quilt. I did the wedges different on it than I did on this one. Thanks for your comment :)
