Cerie

Pattern Info

This project was designed by Jordana Paige.
Info can be found at:

Cerie »

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Classic, Whimsical, Romantic

Materials

850(870, 900, 940, 1190, 1240, 1280) yards of worsted weight yarn; Shown in Venezia Worsted by Cascade Yarns, 70% Merino Wool/ 30% Silk. | 24-inch length US #9 /5.5mm circular needles, or size to obtain gauge | Stitch markers | Darning needle

What are you most proud of?

Six months in the making and I finally had the chance to write the pattern for Cerie. So glad I finally did because I think its such a fabulous pattern.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The stitch pattern is very simple, only knits and purls. The most difficult part is the short row shaping used to create the circular shape. Dont let that scare you off though. Short rows arent hard at all. It just takes learning how.

This is a beautiful sweater, I hope you can convert this into a crochet pattern. I would love to have one of your new cases. I think a good name for the case would be "The H and N Case". (the hook and needle case).

Beautiful sweater! and I would love to win your organizer for many reasons ... I NEED organization! I am a mother of 4 and the wife of a Pastor. I love to help and serve people and meet them right where they are at in life. I am an artist & musican, so I am not a typical pastors wife - not at all like June Clever - and love to bless people.

Just found the pattern and looking forward to getting started. I picked knitting up again to keep me busy doing chemotherapy. What a great distraction. It also reminds me of my great Aunt Vera who taught me when I was young. Of course, I can't imagine there is anyone who doesn't want one of your accessory cases!

This sweater is very beautiful! I would name the tool case The One For All, because that's exactly what it is! One case for all your stitching needs! It also creates a sense of community, and seems a nice way of honoring your customers. All for one, and One For All. I need one of these because I spend 20 minutes trying to find the right size needle every time I want to start a project!

Nice pattern and cute organizers. Because it is a tool caddy, how about "Caddyshack" where all your knitting and crochet tools can hang out. I had a beautiful fabric organizer for my knitting needle that my daughter gave me one year but we have a giant yellow lab that LOVES any new fabric I bring in the house (quilts, towels, pillows, etc) so I need a more bulletproof case to carry my needles in!

Cerie looks so feminine and comfortable. I believe the design would fit a wide range of ladies. I will create one for myself and since I like the simplicity of the look of it, I think I could use more than one in several colors. Because it would make a crafter's life so much easier with time saved by not looking everywhere for something you need, I suggest you name the case for needlework supplies "Perfection". That's what organization is to me.

Hi, My name is Jerri Barton. I love your new tool bag. I have a really big problem in keeping up with my needles and scissors. they almost alway end up in the bottow of my bag. I run a group that makes blankets/throws for those that my not have a warm blanket. We run strictly on donations, including needles. I try to always help people to learn so that they may also help make our blankets. I would hate to see such a wonderful craft disappear. It would be wonderful if I had one of you new "Crafty Clutch Organizers" for my needles. Maybe then I would lose so many of them. Thanks and Happy Crocheting!

beautiful sweater, it can be worn alone or over another short sleeve for easy removal in changing environments. Here in Houston our weather changes often in one day!! This would be a great accessory for our changing weather needs......lovely fit!

As a new knitter, I need a place to store my needles so my 2 year old doesn't get into them!

On the sweater, great pattern! A nice update on the 80's sweater vest thingie. (: On the case, how about "Craftsy Carrier" and you can knock off Coach by putting a big double C on it. LOL!

It is an adorable sweater. I don't knit but perhaps I can con my friend to make me one in trade for some jewelry. I love to bead, but my children (in college) are threatening to turn me into "hoarders" due to my beading disorganization. Any organizational tool would be put to good use. I think it could hold small beading projects when traveling or anytime!!

looks like something I could actually make in a plus size for myself without it taking forever. I dont mind short rows at all-its nice to see the shaping they produce. As for the prize drawing, it is my birthday next week....*hint

Very cute sweater! Maybe I will attempt this after I take Craftsy's knitting class!!! I love your organizing bags and would love to have one to organize all my crochet hooks!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this sweater. I'd love to win one of your bags (named the Lizzie, of course), but I mostly wanted to comment to say how much I want (need?) that sweater. Love, love, love!!!
