Details on center square after picking up stitches along the edge to begin log 1 for slip stitch afghan taught by Rhonda

The back of the center square looked very neat until I picked up the stitches to attach for log 1. But as you knit more logs some of the others are messy looking on the back as well. Now I understand why some comments on Ravelry regarding this project said they were considering lining the back of the afghan with a fabric. The front of the project looks nice, but the back is quite messy due to the varied ways of slipping stitches. I guess that is the nature of the beast...
