Celtic Knot Headband and Belt

Instructions

Buy an I-cord knitting machine, it'll make knitting your i-cords a lot faster. If you use heavier yarn though, you'll have to stick with hand knitting.
Here is where you can get it cheap.

What was your inspiration?

I was looking at Celtic knots and since I am into headband mode right now, this came to mind. I asked my granddaughter if she wanted a headband or a belt, and she chose the belt...well now she has both.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

You might want to invest in a I-Cord knitting machine, they are fun to use and teach your kids with too.

This is so cute! Is this your own design? I would love to make one for my niece!

Thanks, yes it is my own design. Just make some long i-cords, fold in half, and knot like the picture. Then pick up sts across the ends and knit a band in garter stitch. I will have the pattern for sale in a couple of weeks, I will need to knit a few more color samples first and tweak the process. If you want the pattern later, let me know and I will message you when it's done.
