Quilting: Celebrate Annie
6 kudoz

Celebrate Annie

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod

Materials

fabric, yarns, rikr rak, thread, batting

What was your inspiration?

Inspired by the Project QULITING Challenge - Annie's Vision http://www.persimondreams.com/2013/02/project-quilting-season-4-challenge-3-annies-vision.html

Annie Young is a blind topographic artist who 'feels' her way around her paintings. Texture is a huge part of her work and I wanted to bring texture into my quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

feel a free form quilt. Don't second guess yourself. Let the fabrics decide what they want you to do.
