What are you most proud of? The pattern published by Buggy Barn had a plain, "blank" border with the exception of the words "Barn Chicks" appliqued on the lower left border. I made this for a co-worker who has a lot of chickens and get a lot of their eggs, so this was a thank-you gift. I changed the name of the quilt to "Cece's Chicks" and appliqued eggs rolling into a basket on the lower right corner of the quilt. I love how the border turned out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I love the Buggy Barn technique and have made several of their designs, but you have to carefully follow their directions on sewing the units together to avoid whacking off certain elements and making the blocks a uniform size. In this quilt I had to add "coping" sections to the blocks with the heart centers.
