Materials

I used a cotton designer fabric called wavy line in green.

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was my Mum. She loved green so in her honor I've called it the Nancy Green Wavy Line Dress. She would have loved it. I wore it today as it would have been her birthday.

What are you most proud of?

The fit is perfect. I lined the skirt with a japanese green lawn and this was a perfect weight for this project. The belt I made from a grosgrain ribbon sewn onto belting fabric with a vintage buckle from my stash.
I cut the dress on the bias.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I really enjoyed making this dress and learnt how to sew an all in one facing for the first time. Great finish.
I had to adjust the front darts but apart from that the rest was easy.
Elainemay from the selfishseamtress instructions were easy to follow.
