Eucalyptus 'Baby Blue, Coleus 'Chocolate Mint,' a six-pack of coleus 'Black Dragon' and tradescantia 'Baby Bunny Bellies' for the name alone.
What was your inspiration?
The combination called "Circles and Spikes" in the "surprising plants" lesson of the container gardening class. Specifically, I liked the silvery eucalyptus played off against the burgundy foliage, so when I found some eucalyptus at the greenhouse, I made a trip back to the shade annuals to find things to go with it.
What are you most proud of?
The 'Chocolate Mint' coleus is really cool -- it's the tall one in the back. It has a dark burgundy, flat leaf with just a little bright green around the edge. Also the new lawn from seed in the background.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
We'll see how well this does. My backyard gets morning sun and afternoon shade.
