What materials did you use? pieces block with applique, I did the king size but left off the borders so the pattern covers the whole quilt.

What are you most proud of? I love the interplay between the very traditional pieced blocks with the sea turtles swimming across this

What advice would you give someone starting this project? this quilt is about 5 times harder than it needs to be when you use directional fabric. If I had been paying attention in a couple places I would have had alot fewer seams to rip out.

Hello Stripepike! Gorgeous quilt. Congratulations on an amazing quilt top finished. What size did you do? I am a bit disappointed though, since you posted your finished quilt in the "Projects" section it is coming up on everyone's homeroom area on the class. I tried sooooo hard not to cheat and keep the quilt a secret. I'm only on step 3 but I now know what the finished one looks like since your picture comes up every time I open the class. Kimberly allotted a place on her personal website for people to post their finished quilt pictures. Please see this talk forum for details. Could you please move your picture to keep the mystery for other people??? Kimberly also discussed that in one of the beginning videos. Your quilt is gorgeous by the way. Love the colors.

Very nice color choice and lovely applique. Thanks also for the tip with the directional fabrics. It will take a time, until I come to this - to many other projects have to come first ... Also nice wavy quilting. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I absolutely love how your quilt turned out. Giving it a water look and adding the turtles really made it special. Looks really awesome repeated out larger, too.
