love that you used batiks! such vibrant color...the cathedral squares are perfect for this beautiful wall hanging! I know the Diocese will appreciate it!
Hope you dkaym are enjoying your new project adventure. I haven't started sewing from this online class hope to soon. I recently made a child quilt using a lite blue with my other colors. My point is when I took a picture of it to show online, the lite blue glowed and stood out showing me ( mine) I used jellyroll strips to look unbalanced . I personally will rethink and try to notice the color scheme more carefully. I also used some batting I had left over from old projects, and then found out this perticular type wasn't good for a child's quilt because of may need to wash often. One can learn so much from these classes and talking to others. So inspiring!
Hey All! I just wanted to say that I appreciate your comments. I tried to reply to each comment individually but I can't tell the reply took or not. So a general 'Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I'd purchased the fabric with the Madonna and Child two Christmases ago knowing some day I'd find a pattern for a stained glass window I could use and out wonderfull instructor came up with Cathedral Windows, how perfect a match for my purpose. I plan to take this to work to hang in our office. (I work for the Diocese of Tucson) so it will fit right in. I think I'm going to do some hand stitching and bead work on it before I call it a done deal. Will post a pic when I've done that. TTNF and Happy Quilting!
