What are you most proud of? this quilt took a long time to make, and I worked on it with every minute. It took just over 2 years to finish

What advice would you give someone starting this project? the project is not difficult but is very time consuming. Take your time and do a little at at time.

This is a beautiful quilt, and the time and care you put into it certainly shows.

I have the Cathedral Windows quilt that my mother handstiched. She competed it just before she passed away in 1992. I wanted to drape her casket with for everyone to see. I did the unthinkable and put it in her washing machine on the gentle cycle to wash the coffee stains off and the cigarette smell away. Luckily, it came out beautiful. I havehad it packed away in my cedar chest eversince her funeral in Oct. 1992. My question for you is this, if I post pictures of it here front and back can you tell Meir I needto do any thing else to it before I display it on a quilt rack, etc?

Am working 55-60 hours and there is just not enough time in the day or week. to answer your question, yes I would be happy to take a look at the pictures for you. How are you planning to display? Just folded over a standing quilt rack? please be patient these hours I am working will end in another 6 weeks...Grr the thought of 6 more weeks!

I started a quilt like this about 30 yrs. ago. I just retired & it is on my list of quilts to finish. Mine is completely by hand. I am assuming this one also is by hand.

I worked as a nurse in a nursing home 45 years ago, and one of my lady residents at the time, showed me how to make the cathedral windows, and I started mine way back then. Believe it or not, she had completed 2 full size quilts. I know of any other way it would be possible to make one except by hand, Besides the physical beauty of the quilt, it also has a beautiful outcome, as it is finished with every block. (At least in the size you have completed. Right now mine is the size of a queen sized pillow sham top. lol I showed my grandmother how to make it, and she made enough blocks to make a 3/4 length sleeve jacket, for herself. I hope I live long enough to at least get mine to a usable stage. Or it may turn out to be a couple of throw pillows. You did a beautiful job, and you do have something to crow about, as well as whoever gets it. Sorry I'm so long winded.
