cathedral veil

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Vintage-Inspired Veils for the Modern Bride »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Romantic

Materials

ilusion fabric, lace, rhimestones, glue, bridal comb, fishing line, color matching tread

What are you most proud of?

I was really proud of how it looked, the lace around the edge was very thin and delicate i glued the stones on top the lace which made it look a bit more elegant...
I loved making it it was so much fun and wearing something that I made myself for that special day made it that more meaningful...

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use the right glue to glue the comb to the veil... !!!! I used the wrong kind and I had to stitch the veil to the comb which it made it look a bit messy.. but noone can see that part anyways so it didnt really matter but I should have used a different glue for sure.
Make sure you put extra hair pins in ur hair to hold the veil .. mine came off my hair several times .. it was a little bit of a headache.
