What was your inspiration?
I love hats, and when I am in need of something quick to do, I make a hat. I prefer crocheted hats as they are a quick and easy way to make something in an afternoon or during a movie.
This hat was intended to be a slouchy hat with a wide brim. However, once it was finished, I rolled the brim and much prefer it that way. The stitch, called 'open squares' was one I used in a dress I made earlier in the year (which I will share soon). It has become my favourite stitch lately. It is quick, easy, and offers just enough texture.
