Caterpillar and butterfly reversible toy

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Caterpillar and Butterfly Reversible Toy »

Instructions

Be SURE to add 1/4" to pattern pieces, as instructed. I had to start all over.
It is a little difficult to manipulate the finished toy at first. To make butterfly, roll the wings up, felt side out and push upper wings one at a time towards head, and lower ones toward tail. Be sure to use fleece, not felt, it gives a little more.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Cute

Materials

Fleece, organza

What was your inspiration?

I had made another Abby Glassenberg toy. The instructions are clear and they're fun toys for children.

What are you most proud of?

That the toy is fun for my granddaughter. She's only 2 and she loves to change the toy back and forth (with a little help.)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Add 1/4" to pattern pieces, as instructed!

I love this toy, Abby! I took your advice to handsew part of it and that made it SO much easier. Thanks for this project, your toys are so cute!
