What was your inspiration?
A local specialty cat store in my city called The Cat House, first saw my Hello Kitty hats and asked if they could sell them in their store.
They have a resident kitty named Margarita who lives in the store and likes to model different outfits, so I was asked to make a bright pink with black trim kitty hat for her.
They want to try out cotton homemade toys as well, we searched the internet and these are what they like best.
What are you most proud of?
The hat.. it's adorable!
For a size reference, the ice cream cone is about 4 inches tall, so the hat was tiny to work on... I used my fist as a guide...
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just have fun!
Apparently cats aren't really fond of biting acrylic yarn, so stick with cotton.
Scraps work great!
