What materials did you use? I believe it is a covered pitcher and I glued the top to it or the cat's head to it's body. Lamp parts or you could use a lamp kit with all the parts included. lampshade. glue to glue the head to the body (ceramic glue or strong glue). Felt pads glued to cat's feet and under tail to give electric cord room to pass under body. I got a drill press for my birthday so I could more easily drill holes in all these potential lamps: one in the head of the cat and one in it's bottom, where the cord enters and exits.

What are you most proud of? Finding the cute cat and finally figuring out the ins and outs of the inner placement of the lamp since it was so squatty.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you have some experience with making traditional lamps and lighting before trying the unusual ones.

Question: Would it have been possible to have drilled the bottom hole for cord on the backside, lower portion of kitty? I mean does it HAVE to be bottom drilled? ty : ))

Again: I had made a side hole and there was a hole in the mouse's mouth but I felt it needed stability in the central area and so I put a hole in the center?

I am not sure where to respond: I am still a novice at this but all I know right now is I would want stability in the center of the lamp and I wouldn't have it without a central 'line'.
