Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Oversize board with airbrushed buttercream (water), 16" Styrofoam covered in fondant, the side was stone imprinted & airbrushed; the top green with buttercream grasses at base of castle. The 3 tiers were imprinted with a brick imprint with a band of fondant at the top to give a castle wall look. The towers were made of paper towel cardboard rolls (other cardboard rolls were used for the skinny towers) ice cream cone cups & sugar ice cream cones. Some areas of the cake were cut away to inset towers. Royal icing was used to attach towers. Buttercream was used for vines & leaves. Flowers were made of fondant. Oversized candy bar was used for bridge. Styrofoam, board, towers & flowers were all done ahead of time. Characters were bought.
