What was your inspiration?
I saw a picture of a Carpenter's Star in a magazine and fell in love with the design and the quilting.
What are you most proud of?
I wanted to make this quilt for a co-worker who was retiring. I was completely taken by surprise when she told me she absolutely loved it and was impressed with how pretty it was. She later told me that her husband was taken with the gift as well and told her that their cats, which by the way are their babies, would not be allowed to sleep on it..
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The pattern looks complicated, but actually is very easy to do. If I can do it anyone can, so pick your colors and dive in...
