Choice pieces from two different Craftsy charm pack deals, as well as other fabrics from Walmart, Connecting Threads, and Hobby Lobby.
What was your inspiration?
My daughter is a missionary in the Caribbean and I am going to visit her. She asked me to bring a quilt to a family she has spent a lot of time with because the mother had never heard of a quilt. It's too hot there for blankets on the beds. I am taking her this quilt as a gift of gratitude to use for decoration in her home.
What are you most proud of?
The fabric selections! Colorful like the Caribbean. I am also very pleased with my blocks and design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun learning your favorite way to do half-square triangles. Twist and turn the blocks and change it up! You could keep growing this quilt into a beautiful bed quilt.
