What was your inspiration?
Perfect Match: Earring Designs for Every Occasion by Sara Schwittek. What an inspiring book! After looking through all the lovely earring designs, I figured I could probably design some myself. It is the pattern Fireworks in Aqua and Mocha that was the direct influence on what I eventually came up with.
What are you most proud of?
That I didn't have to follow a pattern slavishly.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Practice the wrapping of the headpins with non-precious metals first.
