I love hand binding small books.

It's a decorative and useful item, and it's easy to make.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
A glue stick works well if your paper isn't too thick. Use heavy books, weights, or clamps to hold the glued pieces tightly in place while the glue dries. For thicker paper (or faster results) use a spray glue such as Elmer's Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Alton DuLaney's Paper Arts course includes practical tips on using spray adhesives. Don't forget to sandwich the ribbon between the binding and the interior lining, and have fun!
