What materials did you use? 3/4 ton pick-up vs. Toyota Avalon

What are you most proud of? Surviving!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't leave home without a prayer. We did have a prayer, and though our car is totalled, we are basically alive and well. We believe everything happens for a reason. The first thing that I saw, aside from our survival, is that my daughter, who "doesn't believe in God", gathered her children around her and offered a prayer together. That in itself is a miracle.

God Bless you and your family. Very original idea to put in on this site. Very effective! Genius idea. Stay well my dear.

So you don't think it was wierd of me? Part of my rational for putting it up is my odd sense of humor. Not seeking out sympathy...merely "a day in the LIFE of a quilter".

I think you are great!

Glad you are okay. Take care and happy one-armed quilting! :-)

Came back to see how you are doing now after the accident?

Thanks for asking. It's been six weeks today and my clavicle is healing, though not as fast as I would like

For the past two weeks I have been wearing a ' figure 8' sling (kind of reminds me of a dog harness) which is helping my clavicle mend better and faster. It helped immensely last week when I made the TWO quilts! However, I have something going on with my RIGHT leg (feels like a pulled groin muscle but with some idiot stabbing me with a knife, as it were) so I can't walk without a WALKER!!! And it makes me grit my teeth to keep from screaming!!! I wonder of I did something to my back (thus affecting my leg) when I was pin-basting the pink quilt on my livingroom floor for an hour-andGood grief!!!

that should have said 1.5 hours.

Still too stubborn to quit, but it hurts like the blazes to hobble downstairs, so, once again, I am on a quilting hiatus!

Yes it is a blessed miracle! Everything does happen for a reason. Glad you are all alright and God Bless.

Okay, the clavicle NEVER healed! It's almost seven months since the wreck. I was doing okay, but 1.5 weeks ago, the bone shifted, so now it's pressing on a nerve, and I am in constant, chronic, excruciating pain. End result: going in for surgery to put in plate to join the bones together this Thursday, July 19th.
