My grandson loves all cars and trucks and "diggers" so I designed this quilt for his first big bed. The 2 main colours of grey and green were based on his bedroom walls. (I ordered the Kona fabric from The Fat Quarter Shop in Texas! The colorful border fabric I found in a quilt shop in La Conner. The finished quilt was custom quilted in Whitehorse. Note the designed fire engines and the toot-toot, honk-honk words in the grey.

Love your quilt. My grandson would also love it. Do you mind telling me where you got the original wall hanging pattern from and what it is called? Totally awesome...

I can't seem to open the comment from 42431 below so I'm answering here. The original pattern was for a hand appliqued wall hanging on a 57 inch piece of white fabric. The name is Peak Hour and you can find it and many examples on the Internet, The original has colored circles in the border. I used fewer vehicles and machine appliqued them on 7 or 8-inch "road" strips. Much easier to manage. After each road was done I sewed them all together. I'd be interested to know if you found the pattern. I was overwhelmed how many examoles there were- and I kind of like mine!!
