What materials did you use? The original pattern was done in 1 color and called for 5 skeins (8 oz) of solid color or 6 skeins variegated. I wanted to add color plus increase the size of the afghan so I used: - Approx. 3 7oz skeins each - Redheart yarn 4ply worsted weight - 3 colors of your choosing - Hook size J-10 (6mm)

What are you most proud of? It came out beautifully and my daughter absolutely loved it. As with all craft projects that I have worked on, it makes me proud to know that I made it with my own hands. It gives me a satisfying feeling. The pink, purple and black was made for Candi. I made the Chocolate Cherry one for my bed. I used Bernat Chunky yarn in Aran, Cherry and the variegated yarn is Chocolate Cherry.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? No advice to give on this except just have fun and don't be afraid to experiment with different colors! It's a pretty simple pattern and was a lot of fun to make!
