Chinese bottle gourd, clay and acrylic paints.
What was your inspiration?
I love the arts. Love working with gourds, capturing personalities. This gourd was created in memory of my best friend, Katherine Brown. She was an awesome artist and school teacher. She passed away April 29th, 2010 after fighting cancer for 15 months. This gourd was donated to the Cancer Center in Delaware for a fund raising event.
What are you most proud of?
Grateful for all that I have, the gifts God has given me, An my son and his wife....expecting our first grandbaby ~ girl.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Purchase a large gourd, wash it in vinegar and water. Purchase an air drying clay and let your imagination take you where ever.........................♥
