What are you most proud of? That the coasters turned out. I took a pattern of a maple leaf for boarder the finished square is 6 inches. I used a 2 inch binding for the coasters. Making a proper binding with a small project is challenging. I am going to make one more as my daughter hosted 3 young men from Japan and I want each of them to get a maple leaf. Due to costumes we did not send the real leafs to Japan.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use your imagination and make something special for the people in your life. It doesn't have to be big to be remembered.

A thoughtful and creative idea. I'm sure they will love them and it will bring back lots of good memories.

Thank you Barbara. It is amazing how much time it takes to small projects, but then quilting is not a speed thing. My goal was to give memories to the young men. I have since decided to make my granddaughter one as well for memories.
