What was your inspiration?
A friend of mine made this toy.
What are you most proud of?
The colours for the mane. And the tail - I looked it up as I won't sure if they had a tail like a horse, or like a donkey.
The eyelids. She looked a bit startled without them but now I think she looks concerned. Sort of "Really? Now?! Are you sure?!"
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I left out the buttons for the joints because it's for a baby, and used a lot of strong thread for the joining stitches. That said, reattaching them won't be a big deal. I'm trusting the safety eyes are safe, but don't trust the fabric around them, even with the craft glue holding the eyelids in place. I'll be supervising playing with this toy for a long while.
