How long have you been knitting to turn out work like this scarf and the sweater, dishcloths, etc? I am still practicing and when I get a way through I l9ook at my work and tear it all out! Dishcloths are a great way to practice stitches and if you make mistakes its not so bad! Its a cleaning rag after all! There are however some beautiful dish cloths and I would be delighted to receive one and so I am trying to perfect that I knit well enough to make something suitable for a gift! Is this really just from this class that you learned all this and got so good? Do you have any background coming into the class? Im wondering if there is hope for me!

Hi, this scarf was the second knitted project I ever made. I'm not a super great knitter yet and my couple of knitted projects aren't perfect, but they aren't too bad for starter projects. I've been a crocheter for many years, long before I ever picked up a knitting needle. I think being used to manipulating yarn with a hook and maintaining yarn tension helped me a little with knitting. Keep going with the dish cloths! The more you practice the better you'll get, same for me with knitting which is new to me!
