What are you most proud of? The shading on the leaf- I think it looks so amazing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It isn't as hard as it looks. Annette walks you through the painting process so well. My only issue- I'm not sure I can do it on my own. But the class definetly made me want to try painting more quilts.

I'm not sure what McTavishing is, but am willing to learn if this is the kind of result that can be achieved! I think you have made a really beautiful item. Congratulations!

McTavishing is the name of the quilting stitch I did in the background- it was "invented" (or at least popularized) by Karen McTavish.

You did a fantastic job on this! I, like you, am taking a bunch of different classes to see which tecnique (or all of them!) I can translate to my own quilts. I haven't started this project yet but you gave me inspiration and encouragement to try. It really is a beautiful piece and you SHOULD be proud. I love your quilting - it's fantastic! I'm piecing a quilt top to try Angela Walter's negative space quilting so I should be warmed up after that! tfs... - Angie
