Instructions

Instead of a 4.25 mm hook I used a 5.5 mm..

I used the pattern for the largest size (youth/teen) and still went with the 8" length. I made no changes to the actual hat pattern besides upping the hook size.

What was your inspiration?

A Caron pattern for a child's hat... I will try to find the original and post it for reference.

That and I'm a huge NHL hockey fan...

What are you most proud of?

The flaming C's... have you ever tried to crochet a flaming C?

Also I had never tried a 4 strand braid before.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be prepared for lots of strand cutting.... lots!

I will look for it today... I forgot to look for it earlier.. thanks for the reminder... it is a Caron pattern for a childs hat. I just used a larger crochet hook, different colours and improvised the Flaming C logo of my hockey team... I promise I will find it for you! Thank you again for the reminder!
