What materials did you use? For the red hat, I used Great Adirondack Yarn Company's merino bulky cranberry yarn. For the blue hat, it's Merino 12 Layers merino wool lapis yarn.

What are you most proud of? The ease with which I made the hats!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be very mindful that making these easy-to-knit hats is an addictive experience. I'm now thinking about all of the people -- big and small -- for whom I can make a hat!

Thanks! I think you'll really enjoy making the hat, especially since it's relatively quick and easy...and the end result can be quite nice.

I'm ready to order yarn..and need to know yardage for projects?

Good question. The instructions didn't specify, but I used a bit less than half a skein of yard. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Both lovely...I especially like how the stitch definition pops with the blue-ish yarn :)

Thanks, and I agree. The blue hat, because of the characteristics of the yarn, really showcases the pattern.
