Hi their I'm new to this Craftsy site and I just need to know what is a provisional cast on is? I am a knitter but have never heard of this one. Please let me know so I can get started on this one. This will be my hat for the winter.

It's when you cast on with a peice of scrap yarn and then change to the yarn you are making that hat from. Later you will take out the cast on row and graph both ends of the hat together.
