What was your inspiration?
As I was taking the photo for this project, I was struck by how the top of the hat looked a bit like a sand dollar. I happened to have one, so put it in the photo.
What are you most proud of?
That I successfully did cables...after having just recently learned to knit. I've gone way past simple knit & purl.
Also I've gotten lots of compliments when I have worn this hat.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time and count carefully. Also if you are using the magic loop method, watch your two "ends". In spite of my efforts, you can still see where the two magic loop "ends" were.
