What was your inspiration?
Having grandchildren made me go looking for new and different patterns.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
All you need is a basic knowledge of single and double crochet. The pattern is very easy to read. I've made at least a dozen. Most of them are donated to Right to LIfe projects or given as baby gifts.
