Instructions
The fiber I used is somewhat dark, so I used a lighter green bamboo thread in the cable to help it "pop" and not get lost in the dark. Worked great! Now to find the perfect glitzy buttons ...Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I really love this look and could tell it was probably a quick knit-up resulting in a beautiful, useful accessory! I've been looking for something to show off a luscious dark teal fiber that was given me awhile back, and that I spun last year. This pattern was perfect!
What are you most proud of?
It's always a great thrill to see something I spun myself (I'm a rank beginner in the spinning world) knit up in a great pattern.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Changing needle size and/or weight of yarn can make interesting changes in the end piece; this is an easy enough pattern to adapt if you'd like to use a finer fiber, and the look is different yet also beautiful. The instructions are very clearjust be sure to follow each and every step (don't miss row 12 at the bottom of the Main Body page). I just found this online yesterday and already have completed three of them! They make terrific gifts, and are a wonderful stash-buster.
