For Hat - Simple 90 stiches cast on with pearl one, knit one ribbing for about 6 rows around with brown and color waves yarn together, and pearl one row. Place maker for beginning of rows after the pearl row and continue with only the brown yarn, and then start increase rows, with pearl one, knit one, increase one and knit one and then repeat to end of row. Continue this for about 8 rows and carry color yarn up inside as you go. After 8 rows pickup the color yarn and repeat the pearl one, knit one ribbing through out with another 8 rows and alternate as you wish. Try it on for size of crown and then when ready, start a decrease of knit two together and you may have to switch to double pointed needles for ending with decreasing for another 8 rows, then decrease again until all stiches gone. Slip yarn through last stitch and your done. Make a flower trim and sew on button. Scarf simple pearl one knit one ribbing of 32 stiches cast on with two yarns. Alternate colors for a few rows as you wish for your own design. Aboout 8 inches up cast off about 10 stiches in center on one row and pick up the stiches again on the next row to form a hole. This is where the other end will come through when you ends the scarf. Continue for the length you wish then start to decrease every other row at each end to make the end of the scarf narrower to fit through the hole.
