What was your inspiration?
The pattern, and the fact that it's very age-appropriate for my two grandchildren. Very cute!
What are you most proud of?
The faces came out well! The only thing I realized after I was done was that I forgot to put the tab that is supposed to button across the top. I may add it later, but I kind of like it the way it is. I also may add a few buttons or other decoration around the sides, as the bag ended up kind of plain.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It did take longer than I anticipated to do this. I should have planned a little better and made sure I had more colored embroidery floss on hand (I ended up doing all the faces in brown, black and white because that's all I had and I was impatient to finish). I had originally planned to do two, one for each grandchild, but it took so long do do all the faces (I'm slow!) that I decided to just do one set and let them play with them when they come to visit rather than letting them take them home.
