Materials

a pretty brass butterfly used for cold connecting metal to metal, glass beads in varying sizes, a couple of sterling silver beads and some kind of closure. needles and some kind of good beading thread and needles. i used fireline.

What was your inspiration?

i ordered that little butterfly by mistake! it was a waste of resources to send it back, so i set off to find some way i could use that butterfly in a design. i came up with a butterfly pillow. i embellished the even count peyote, one inch square and held the new pendant in place with a neck chain created with picot stitch. it's all closed up with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

What are you most proud of?

i am honestly most proud that i am satisfied enough with this design and the work done on this design that i am willing to show it to you here. i did this. i am proud of it.
and i am prould that i could turn a boo boo into something good.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

play! doodle with your beads. the VERY worst thing that can happen is you make a big enough mess that you want to start over. i start things over all the time and not one thing has fallen off of me so far. 'cept maybe stress..... there is that.
