A sweet, and very 'girly' design. This is a variation on my Butterfly Mittens - and comes as a 'bonus' in the Butterfly Mitten pattern. Worsted weight yarn. Double pointed knitting needles: sizes 3 & 5. Darning needle for finishing.
What was your inspiration?
I was donating mittens for a school fundraiser and I wanted to show a few different styles. I had the Butterfly pattern worked out, so I came up with this simple variation - just a change in colors.
What are you most proud of?
The originality of my designs, and how well my mittens fit children and adults.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't go out and buy yarn - check your stash. These mittens do not take much yarn, and any worsted weight yarn will do. This pattern comes as the 'bonus' in my Butterfly Mitten pattern.
