I have a butterfly necklace that I bought in Maui, Hawaii years ago but I couldn't afford the bracelet to. It was rainbow colors like this and a little different, but I could make this and it would wear beautifully with it. I might try semiprecious stones like my necklace. The firemountain pattern called for fireline and parachute chord... which one should I use. Also, the first one was very floppy. Did I do something wrong. BEAUTIFUL pattern. LOVE IT!

15-4mm bicones and 42-8mm bicones in any colors you choose. That makes a bracelet with 7 butterfly. If you need to change the sizes for overall length you can only make 6 or make 8 butterflies or you can use 6mm bi-cones instead with no need to change the instructions.

Click the link to the Fire Mt Gallery page above then type in the search butterfly bracelet and it should pull up a bunch but the one with instructions in the second one down in the right column. The color is green and topaz.

I've seen these curved tubes at all the online bead stores I order from. My top three suppliers are ArtBeads, Fusion Beads and Fire Mountain Gems and Jewelry. They're sold in different metals, tones, lenghts and styles. Search using the term curved bead tube. Happy beading!

Fire Line is beading thread, that is the brand name and it is the best. Super strong and so easy to work with. You can find it in most beading supply store online and of course at Fire Mt.

You can do them in 6mm as well but change the clasp to a lobster or toggle with a extension chain to make it a little longer.

Fire Mountain.com go into Gallery(one of the top tabs) and in search type butterfly :) Enjoy, they are really fun to make and I keep find ways to add a new spin on them!
