What materials did you use? Used two fat quarters and 1 meter of white and 1 meter of purple fabric, gutterman sulky threads and some variegated threads I have had here for a long time. Used the thinnest batting I could buy. Used no 20 foot on my bernina to do fancy stitches and the walking foot to do the centres and binding of the runner.

Beautiful, love your fancy stitches with the variegated thread... Which type of foot do you use for binding? Just curious but I don't have a Bernina machine, I have a janome. I wonder if there is an easier way to bind that I don't know..

Hi Sylvie - I always use my walking foot once I get a couple of layers thick - as my machine is very old. The walking foot is easy to use doing the binding and I cheated this time and instead of handsewing the back down I sewed it with white thread. I am sure Janome have similar feet to Bernina.
