Instructions

I also used the tutorial from >>that*darn*kat wallet tutorial...for the credit cards slots I used on the large zippered pocket.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Classic, Whimsical, Cute, Casual

Materials

Cotton Fabrics, Webbing - for handles, Velcro, Polyester thread, binding, decor bond fusible interfacing, fusible fleece, sewing supplies and tools.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to use 2 different patterns to make this design. So, the large zippered pocket has an additonal section for 8 credit cards slots and 2 additonal compartments for checkbook and cash.
I also did not use the "belting" for in the handles - I used some (white) webbing - which can be seen under the handles.

What are you most proud of?

How cute it looks - with the colors coordinating so well. Red, Blue and Brown on the White background.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't just settle for a pattern if there is something you want to change or add - just "do it" - and have fun with it.

I combined 2 patterns together to make this handbag. First, I used The see & sew pattern # B4271 (Butterick) - view A - instead of the "belting, I used webbing in the handles. I also incorporated a pattern for a wallet - a tutorial from <
