What materials did you use? I used Katia lining for the black quilted-style wearable muslin. Then I found some silky polyester animal print fabric that I used for the lining of the boiled wool/poly blend in the fuchsia.

What are you most proud of? No one asks me if I made this coat. They ask me where I bought it! Also, that I stuck with practicing 12 bound buttonholes before making these. These are my first flap pockets and I made the pocket bags extra roomy.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do make a muslin first and learn how to do a full bust adjustment with princess seams if you need one. The Craftsy class is excellent. I love the instructions for lining by Linda Lee and am looking forward to adding linings and trying some under linings on my next projects.

Your coats are both wonderful! Your wearable muslin looks amazing...I wouldn't have thought of it as a "muslin" at all! Very professional. You are very talented!

Thank you, Paradise Girl. I've learned so much from Craftsy classes and from finding friends who sew in my local area. It has been a great way to meet people. Good luck on your projects.
