Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Satin and chiffon. I think. And a jewelled belt from Le Chateau. I used wooly nylon in the upper looper for the three thread rolled hems.

What are you most proud of? I decided to use the serger at the very last minute. I had never sewn a garment other than a baby shirt and skirt before and had only used my serger to test a rethread after a snafu right out of the box. When I tried to knot the four navy threads onto the white factory ones something went awry and I had to rethread the entire machine! It worked on the very first try as did the three-thread rolled hem.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't go crazy with a serger, I had four thicknesses of material at my waist seam and I was so serger-crazy I four thread overlooked every layer to finish the allowance before seaming all the pieces together. Made for a very thick waist. Lol!

Very nice, Sucredesignercakes! It's a very pretty color, and that belt really adds a lot. I'm glad your rolled hem worked out so well!
