What was your inspiration?
Saw this done on a crochet site I frequent and even though I have no one at the present time to give it to, I HAD to make it!
What are you most proud of?
Getting the ears and eyes and noses on straight! lol I did it a little different than the pattern suggests. I did the faces and put the ears on before sewing the squares together. I find it easier that way. Also, in making the 4 color blocks I made them differently as well. I crocheted on half block at a time so instead of chaining 22 for the block I chained 11 and did 10 rows of first color then 10 rows of 2nd color. Then made another strip of 10 rown of 3rd color and 10 rows of 4th color then sewed the 2 strips together into one checkerboard square.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I got a little tired of makng this toward the end due to so many pieces, eyes, noses, ears, etc. If you are not a patient person then this one is not for you
