What was your inspiration?
This is one flower bed under a cherry tree in my front yard. In designing my gardens I tried to have it flow with the surrounding farm lands.
What are you most proud of?
My flower gardens are a continuous work in progress. When we first purchased our home 12 years ago, there were no flowers. Not to mention trees or even grass! I now can sit on my back deck and listen to the birds and feel like I'm on vacation every day.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be patient. Have a long range goal in mind and gradually add to the landscape to give it time to grow in and become what you are searching for.
