Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Bag-Making Basics: Drawstring Bag & Bucket Bag »

Instructions

The instructor has great tips for this project. For instance, using a small ribbon to help turn your drawstrings. So quick and easy.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Casual, Classic

Materials

fabric, batting, interfacing, thread, stabilizer for applique and scissors

What was your inspiration?

These are the colors of the college I attended. I love the country chic. It will be a wonderful place to store my W.I.P project.

What are you most proud of?

The applique of the little bird. I'm new at this technique. I think it turned out well. I'm going to add and eye and legs later to my little song bird.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have all supplies at hand so you can just enjoy making this project. Be sure and take heed to the instructors, hints on making a circle. So the bottom of the bag fits in well. ( So you remember the term pie- squared from Geometry. :)
